The Underwear

The moonlight casts a soft glow over the quiet street as Canelo stands next to a light pole, taking a deep drag from his cigarette. Feeling nature’s call, he unzips his jeans to take a leak against the pole, just like he usually does. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he notices a muscular figure standing before him. His eyes travel up from the man’s feet, past the absurdly tight woman’s triangle underwear that barely covers his lower half, to his sculpted, steel-like body. The man is staring directly at him, unblinking, his eyes filled with determination.

Canelo tilts his head slightly upward, standing relaxed as he casually relieves himself against the light pole. His posture is loose, completely at ease; he doesn’t even bother to turn his head to look at the man directly. “Oh, isn’t this the famous ‘Underwear’?” he says casually, not even bothering to pause his business. “What do you want from me?”

The man standing in front of Canelo is a Class C fighter known as Dave, but his nickname is “The Underwear.” He is infamous for appearing in public wearing only a woman’s triangle underwear, a look that has become iconic to his persona. With muscles as hard as steel, he dedicates himself to daily gym sessions, lifting weights to build his formidable physique. However, lacking any martial arts moves keeps him in Class C. He seeks any opportunities to prove himself to others as a strong fighter. He proactively looks for opponents to fight and strives to promote himself into a higher class.

Dave, the muscular man, tightens his fists and steps forward to lay down a challenge. “I’m here for a battle. I’ll show you what real strength truly looks like!”

Canelo slowly zips up as he finishes his business, then spits out the remaining part of his cigarette and tucks his hands into his pockets. “Alright, let’s get this over with,” he says casually as he walks out into the open street.

By now, a few onlookers gather, pausing whatever they’re doing to check out what looks like it will be an unusual showdown. While real fights between known fighters in the city happen often, it’s not every day that regular residents get to witness one in public. Some people even pull out their smartphones to record it and upload to YouTube, and the excitement begins to build in the crowd.

Canelo takes a low stance, leaning slightly forward to reveal his thug fighting style. On the other hand, Dave stands like an amateur, his posture wide open and exposing his vulnerabilities, inviting potential attacks.

All of a sudden, Canelo swings his hand sharply, landing a clean slap on Dave’s face. Dave takes the full hit, standing firm without showing any emotional response, as though nothing happened. Immediately, Dave counters Canelo with a straight kick, but Canelo effortlessly bends aside to dodge. He then unleashes a series of rapid punches, landing solid hits to Dave’s gut. The impact against Dave’s steel-like abs produces a sharp sound, similar to a heavy object striking a metal surface. Dave takes zero damage from these attacks and responds with a bunch of straight punches. Such amateur moves are so predictable and easy for Canelo to read, allowing him to swiftly shift his body position and evade all of them with ease.

Canelo is an efficient fighter who dislikes dragging out fights; he always goes straight for the throat. After stepping back a few meters, he lunges forward, launching himself into the air and rising three meters high. As he ascends, he pulls his left leg toward his torso for balance, extending his right leg sharply while angling his body for a quick 45-degree descent. He unleashes his signature move, the Skyfall Kick, aimed at Dave’s chest. With sheer strength, Dave extends both arms, blocking the kick with his palms but unable to grip Canelo’s leg. Instead, he pushes the kick backward, repelling Canelo back to the mid-air. Canelo flies back, landing precisely at the spot from which he launched. Surprised by such strength, Canelo remains unharmed.

Canelo dusts himself off, panting from the burst of energy used in his Skyfall Kick. Dave dashes forward, throwing another amateur punch, but Canelo crouches down and executes a wide sweep, tripping Dave. He plummets to the pavement, creating cracks in the ground, yet takes no damage and bounces back up in an instant. Canelo smirks, taunting, “You won’t win with such infantile moves!”

Canelo tilts his head upwards and laughs out loud, shouting, “What a fighter, you just seem like an amateur to me! If I were you, I would have …” He stops mid-sentence as he realizes Dave slammed his foot into the ground, creating a dent, and propelled himself forward with a massive burst of energy to close the gap between them. Canelo should have still been able to widen the distance if he hadn’t let his guard down. Before he could react, Dave was in front of him, grabbing his collar with one hand and delivering a brutal punch to Canelo’s face with the other.

As the blow lands, a shockwave ripples through the air, gently blowing the hair of distant onlookers. Canelo, a proud Class C fighter, stumbles, his vision swimming as the world around him blurs. The sheer force of the punch distorts his facial features and causes instant, massive swelling. The crowd gasps in shock, unable to believe what they have just witnessed. Canelo, known as a fearless gangster, has been knocked out cold by a single punch.

Dave kneels down, gently laying Canelo’s unconscious body on the pavement. He looks down at him with respect. “Let’s keep training hard, and I look forward to our next match,” he says softly.

As the bystanders whisper among themselves, stunned by the raw power they have just witnessed, Dave walks away calmly, his eyes scanning the street for the next challenge. His journey to break free from Class C has only just begun.
