Quitting Sugar: Day 1

Today, keeping in mind that I started my “Quitting Sugar” diary just yesterday, I easily managed not to dwell on thoughts of soda or bubble tea.

When I had a slight craving for soda, I knew it was probably just dehydration, so I quickly drank a lot of water—and the craving disappeared soon after. I ended up drinking a whole 1.5L bottle of water!

I allowed myself a bit more solid, non-sugary food today but plan to gradually reduce it over time.

Overall, the craving wasn’t strong at all. Spending most of the day out with my friend probably helped too.

  1. Day 1 sounds awesome! You kept your goal in mind, handled cravings by staying hydrated, and hanging out with friends probably kept your mind off sugar. Plus, easing into smaller portions is a solid plan—taking it one step at a time. Great start!
